We are delighted to welcome Carmen Chen and Karinda De La Cruz to the ChlamHealth Group. As part of the ChlaGoNomics project, they will investigate the rectal microbiome in Chlamydia and Neisseria gonorrhoeae infections to advance One Health and Public Health research.

We are delighted to welcome Carmen Chen and Karinda De La Cruz to the ChlamHealth Group.
Carmen joins the lab as a Postdoctoral Researcher, while Karinda begins her PhD. Together, they will contribute to the ChlaGoNomics project, which investigates the rectal microbiome in Chlamydia and Neisseria gonorrhoeae infections using a culturomics approach.
Their research aims to improve our understanding of microbiome–STI interactions and antimicrobial resistance, supporting UZH’s commitment to One Health and Public Health research.
We are excited to have Carmen and Karinda on board and look forward to the discoveries and collaborations ahead.
