International Research Collaboration at Fisabio
During his research stay at the Fisabio Foundation in Valencia, Enrique Rayo presented the work of the Chlamydia Research Group and collaborated on STI and antimicrobial resistance data analysis. The exchange highlights the importance of international collaboration in public health research.
Enrique Rayo is currently completing a research stay at the Fisabio Foundation in Valencia, Spain, where he collaborates with researchers working in the fields of sexually transmitted infections, antimicrobial resistance, and public health.
During his stay, Enrique has been working closely with Leonor Sánchez Busó on the analysis of STI-related data, particularly in the context of antimicrobial resistance and gonococcal infections. The collaboration combines expertise in microbiology, epidemiology, and public health research, and aims to contribute new insights into STI surveillance and infection dynamics.
As part of the visit, Enrique also presented the work carried out at the Chlamydia Research Group – Borel Laboratoryduring one of Fisabio’s institutional seminars. The presentation highlighted current research activities in metagenomics, diagnostics, and STI epidemiology.
This international exchange was made possible through the support of the UZH Graduate Campus, which promotes mobility and collaboration among early-career researchers.
We are proud to see our research represented internationally and look forward to the outcomes of this collaboration.
