Laboratory for Animal Model Pathology (LAMP)

Technical Services and Veterinary Pathology Expertise

The Laboratory for Animal Model Pathology (LAMP) has been established to assist research in relevant, generic areas of laboratory/experimental animal morphology and pathology.

LAMP is

a core research and service facility at the Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zurich.

LAMP provides

technical services and expertise to researchers at the University of Zurich and outside clients who undertake morphological studies as part of their work with animal models and/or laboratory animals.

Submisson Form LAMP

LAMP aims to

foster interdisciplinary research for optimal use of laboratory/experimental animals;

provide scientific support through laboratory animal health monitoring and disease diagnosis (diagnostic service);

provide veterinary pathology expertise for research projects involving animal work (on collaborative and service basis);

provide a timely and cost-effective technical service and expertise in relevant, generic areas of laboratory/experimental animal morphology and pathology;

train researchers in basic techniques to allow optimal in situ studies on experimental animals (in collaboration with the Institute of Laboratory Animal Science LAS/LTK, Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Zürich: www.ltk.uzh.ch).

Research at LAMP

Veterinary pathologists at LAMP are partners in various interdisciplinary research projects and lead their own laboratory animal research tracks. Find further information on our research site under Animal Models. For a list of selected recent publications, see below.
